1.2.1 Teacher’s webpage

At filipezabala.com the student will find a series of educational resources such as handouts, videos and articles. At github.com/filipezabala a series of repositories created by the teacher are available.

1.2.2 Khan Academy

Khan Academy8 has a wide range of free materials, which can support the student during the course. The following list indicates the main foundations necessary for good content development.

1.2.3 Eddie Woo

On his channel, Eddie Woo talks about Mathematics in an intuitive and direct way. Watch the video Why is 0! = 1?, can help with binomial (Section 3.7.2) and Poisson (Section 3.7.4) distributions.

1.2.4 UFPR

UFPR’s Department of Statistics (DEST) provides basic statistics videos in Portuguese for its courses. The videos can be accessed at http://www.leg.ufpr.br/estbas. Within the program of transversal disciplines of the PRPPG-Pro-Rectory of Research and Graduate Studies9, some videos are also available at http://www.leg.ufpr.br/~paulojus/transversal2021/ under the coordination of professor Paulo Justiniano Ribeiro Junior.

1.2.7 Seeing theory

Seeing Theory is a website created with the aim of making Statistics more accessible through interactive visualizations. It was created by Daniel Kunin while an undergraduate at Brown University.
